Physically, it is connected to the stomach, liver, spleen, pancreas, gallbladder, small intestine, nails, teeth, muscles, back, immune system, autonomic nervous system, and it controls the body’s thermoregulation. When the Third Chakra is unbalanced or blocked, issues may arise in the stomach, liver, and pancreas; bad breath; immune-related disorders; psychosomatic illnesses; anorexia; bulimia; lack of acceptance of one’s body; anxiety; nervousness; depression; addictions; anger; greed; selfishness; aggressiveness; intolerance; hyperactivity; egocentrism; and a sense of inferiority.
