Lava stone is born from the fire of the Earth and is a powerful ally for rebalancing the First Chakra, Muladhara in Sanskrit. It is good practice to purify lava stone often by smudging with incense, Palo Santo, or sage. Natural running water (from a river or spring) also helps wash away negative energetic build-up, but the stones must then be dried well with a natural-fiber cloth to avoid excessive moisture absorption.
You can recharge it by leaving it overnight under the full Moon, allowing it to receive the regenerating energy needed for its balance.
